It has not felt like Spring….

But if you visit the GreenSpace today, you will see that Spring is here!

Andy Ganzman has opened up the Fountain, one of renowned sculptor, Bill Underhill’s last works.

Tall, impressive, blue violet iris welcome you into the Labyrinth and Community Garden!

Exuberant columbines are exploding from the flower circle, next to a mass of orange poppies, waiting their turn to pop.

Delicate, spring green, Lady’s Mantle is out and about, unlike the Balloon flowers, just waiting…

Milk Weed planted by Wellsville’s Monarch Society, has grown and multiplied for  the Monarchs’ return!

The showy, bicolor yellow and purple Baptista is gorgeous, growing close to  salvias, and Achillea – not yet in bloom.

There are favorite peonies, ready to burst open.

Artemisia, a tall, grey, silvery scented plant  loves the Garden so much that she has invaded it!

You will find her all over the place! And Queen Anne’s Lace ‘s children are everywhere!

Strawberries are flowering right now, waiting for warmth to turn into berries.

Herbs for your dinner? The herb circle is growing in leaps and bounds!  Mauve chive flowers and tough sage are stars right now,, but small dill, rosemary, several thyme varieties of thyme, basil and cilantro amongst others are hoping for sun and warmer temperatures to thrive.

Which veggies will be ready first? It’s a race between the peas and potatoes.

Come and explore the GreenSpace!

Please don’t pick the flowers – their beauty is for everyone to admire and enjoy.

The herbs and veggies are grown as a gift to our Wellsville Community.

Don’t forget the best ice cream in town just across the street at SugarDaddy’s!!!
