April 13, 1986 – May 5, 2025
Brittany Talbot Garrison, age 39, of Sharpsville, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Britt was born at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA on Sunday, April 13, 1986, to Michael and Denise Talbot Garrison, also of Sharpsville, PA. Brittany was the loving mother of her son, Gill Talbot Garrison-Evans, of Sharpsville, PA.
Brittany is survived by her son; her parents; her brother, Scott Garrison; brother-in-law, Edward Tucker of Mansfield, PA; grandmother, Phyllis Garrison of Hermitage, PA, uncle, Scott and aunt Deb Talbot Bastian of Mansfield, PA; cousins, Noal and Jill Daum Bastian, along with nephew, Quinton Talbot and niece, Elsie Leona of Staunton, VA, and her cousin, Drew Bastian of NYC. Also surviving is her partner, Brendan Evans of Masury, OH, and his loving family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Doris Talbot, and Bert Garrison.
Brittany loved everyone, and everyone loved Brittany. She had a lifelong love of music and the arts, often filling her home, theaters, and venues with her gifted voice. Her creative spirit led her to releasing her own album of original songs in her early teens, with airplay in NY, PA, and Canadian radio and television stations. She spent endless hours recording music with her father, brother Scott, and many musicians throughout her young life.
Brittany grew up in Bolivar, NY and loved weekend visits to her grandparents’ homes in Daggett and Mansfield, PA. Upon graduating Bolivar-Richburg Central High School, Brittany attended Purchase College in White Plains, NY, to study journalism, leading to writing opportunities with many different music publications.
Brittany lived her life on her own terms. She enjoyed career opportunities that put her face to face with people. Brittany especially enjoyed performing in many productions with The Wellsville Players of Wellsville, NY, and Hamilton-Gibson in Wellsboro, PA. She was also included in a benefit reading of Unbeatable the Musical at the Pershing Square Signature Center in NYC. Throughout her life, which took her in many different directions, she always remained close to family.
On Brittany’s thirtieth birthday, she was diagnosed with MS after an unexplained fall. The years that followed required more powerful medications to hold the MS at bay, compromising her immune system. She battled many illnesses as a result but accepted it with grace. She never complained while still devoting her life and her love to her son, Gill. Brittany was always a giver. She has now given her final gifts as an organ donor to sustain life and improve the life of those in desperate need.
Brittany will be laid to rest in the Hillside Cemetery beside the Methodist Church in Daggett, PA. Details on a celebration of her life will be forthcoming.
