What is your favorite part of working at JMH?

Robin: Working with great teams to make a difference in people’s lives.

What inspired you to pursue working in healthcare, what are you most proud of?

Robin: My mother was the surgical head nurse on the third floor of JMH when it was part of the patient care area. My sister and two of my nieces are also nurses. My youngest son was recently accepted into the RN program at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. It seemed only natural to carry on the legacy of caring my mother began many years ago.

What other departments have you worked in?

Robin: I was a volunteer candy striper in 1975 passing out snacks, making beds and visiting with patients.

I also worked in the dietary department part time from 1976 through 1982 washing dishes and working on the patient tray line.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Robin: You learn the most from your mistakes.

Do you have a favorite song, playlist or podcast to get you through your day?

Robin: I have been following the music of the Grateful Dead since I was 16.

What is your favorite hobby?

Robin: Knitting and baking

What’s a book, movie or TV show you would recommend to everyone?

Robin: Game of Thrones – it has dragons!

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

Robin: I would be able to talk to animals.
