Wellsville, schools closed today due to winter weather, tomorrow for Lunar New Year holiday

A blast of windy winter weather has caused most Allegany County schools to close for today January 28. Some schools still are reporting a 2 hour delay, please text 585 610 5258 with updates.

Alfred State Alert: Alfred and Wellsville classes are canceled for Tues. Jan 28 due to continued snow in the area. Northland is not affected. Only employees essential for campus operations should report in Alfred and Wellsville.

January 29 is now a NYS holiday, no public school for the Lunar New Year, per Governor Kathy Hochul.
