Village of Cuba: Who will replace Mayor Barnes?

Village mayor and one trustee will not be seeking re-election, caucuses January 22

From the Village of Cuba NY,

Both the Republican and Democratic parties in the Village of Cuba will hold caucuses on Wednesday, January 22nd at the Cuba Town Court room at  15 Water Street.   Republicans will convene at 6 p.m. and Democrats will begin at 6:45 p.m.

The caucuses are called for the purpose of nominating candidates to fill the expiring terms of Mayor and two village board trustees at the village election to be held on  March 18, 2025.

Mayor Jim Barnes and Trustee Thomas Taylor have both announced that they will not be seeking re-election to their respective offices. Anyone desiring more information  may  call either Dave Crowley at 585.968.2783 or Sue Scott at  585.403.2452.
