This week’s spotlight shines on Katy Willard, Lead Medical Imaging Technologist at JMH for the past 23 years! “Katy was selected for commitment to the department and her co-workers, as well as her expertise in anything related to her profession. Katy plays a key role in the department as the lead technologist in CT, which brings many responsibilities. She orders all supplies for CT and x-ray, is responsible for QA and ACR accreditation on the CT scanner, just to name a few. Her organization skills and determination to provide quality work for the department and patients make her an asset to our department. ” – Jennifer Frungillo, Director of Imaging Services

What is your favorite part of working at JMH?
Katy: I love my patients and my coworkers. They make me want to come to work everyday!
What is the most interesting project you’ve worked on?
Katy: When we installed our last CT scanner, I enjoyed picking out new cabinets and flooring.
What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
Katy: I sang the National Antem at the Andover 4th of July parage many many years ago.
What is your favorite hobby?
Katy: Watching my kids play sports!
What’s the first concert you ever attended?
Katy: Alanis Morissette with my aunt at Alfred University.
What’s is on your Bucket List?
Katy: I would love to go to the Women’s college World Series in Oklahoma City. I love watching this softball tournament every year, and would love to go in person to see it live.
If you had to eat one meal or food every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Katy: Cheese
