Monte B. Milligan, 60 of Montezuma NY passed away at home unexpectedly with a Cardiac event on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
He was born in Wellsville, NY to the late Kenneth and Virginia Kibbie Milligan. He attended and graduated from Andover Central School in 1982. He then continued his education at Alfred State College and earned his associates degree in auto body. He worked for the village of Andover for 10 years and was superintendent for the last 2 of those years. He went on to work for the town of Andover for 22 years and retired at 55 as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was well known for his operating skills. Monte was a member of the Andover Fire Department and was a dedicated volunteer for 33 years. Throughout those years he was also a swim coach for Andover Central school and later went on to coach the ACS tennis team for 10 years. In 2015 his team won the Allegany County Section 5 Championship.
He owned and ran his business, (M&M Archery) with the help of his family for 6 years. He loved the outdoors but in the woods and hunting was his favorite place to be. In fact the morning that he passed he had gone hunting and harvested a deer with his muzzleloader. He was the pillar of the family and a mentor to many. A proud dad and pops to his grandsons, he loved his daughter in law like his own and was a faithful loving husband. His kindness and true compassion for people was unwavering. He is already so dearly missed.

There will be visitation from 12PM to 2PM on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Auburn Alliance Church, 630 N. Seward Avenue, Auburn NY with a memorial service to follow at 2PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Auburn Alliance Church. Condolences may be made at www.brewfuneralhome.com
