This Saturday December 21 is a live performance by Mike Randall

The Jim Henson film will be shown Saturday December 28

The David A. Howe Library is enjoying the holiday season with our community by hosting several exciting events in the Nancy Howe Auditorium.

To start, Andover Ecumenical Choir kicked off their holiday tour with a concert on December 9. The fun continued with Genesee Dance Theatre’s 10th anniversary production of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker to Wellsville, NY.

The season is not over yet, though! The final holiday event in the Nancy Howe Auditorium was slated to be “Charles Dickens Presents: A Christmas Carol.” It’s still happening on Saturday, December 21, at 2 p.m. This is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Library; tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the main desk of the library or at the auditorium door the day of the show. This one-man play was created and will be performed by Mike Randall, best known for his long career as a newscaster for WKBW-TV in Buffalo. Randall has appeared at the David A. Howe Library multiple times, most recently as Mark Twain in 2022.

And the library has added a second version of “A Christmas Carol” to their holiday schedule. They will be showing a beloved film version starring Jim Henson’s creations on Saturday, December 28, at 1 p.m. This movie is free and open to the public.

The library is excited to welcome our community into the Nancy Howe Auditorium and hopes to make the season brighter for all who come.
