The Christmas season always brings the gift of special music, and this is a gift The Fountain Arts Center wants to bring to you. The arts center will present its Christmas Concert “The Light of Bethlehem” on Friday, December 20th at 7PM at Houghton Academy in Houghton, New York. It is sponsored in part by the Law Office of Richardson, Pullen, & Buck, PC in Fillmore, New York. A second performance will take place at the Wellsville Full Gospel Church on Hanover Hill, Wellsville, on Sunday, December 22nd at 4PM.
The concerts will feature The Fountain Arts Center Community Orchestra and The Fountain Arts Center Youth Choir. The community orchestra is comprised of students, teachers, and professional musicians from several towns and villages throughout Allegany County. It will be conducted by Alva Robbins, music teacher at GVCS, and president of the Allegany County Music Teachers Association. The youth choir is also made up of music students throughout Allegany County, ranging in age from five to eighteen years old, and will be directed by Amanda Robbins, and Michelle McGraw.

The concerts are free and open to the public. These music programs are supported in part by the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Arts & Culture Initiative, Arts Services Inc., Knights Creek Evangelical Methodist Church, Signs & Wonders Studio, and funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a program of the New York State Council for the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered in Allegany and Wyoming Counties by the Arts Council for Wyoming County.
