Balmy weather should make for a busy Halloween in the village

Trick or treat? You can find out in Wellsville between 6pm and 8pm this Thursday October 31.

With temperatures in the mid-70’s expect more ghouls, goblins, and rowdy teens this holiday.
We talked with Chief of Police Timothy O’Grady today about the spooky night ahead. Chief wanted all parents to be reminded to accompany children on trick or treating routes. O’Grady also asked that drivers be extra vigilant with many children dressed in dark costumes, amped up on sugar, running about.
When we asked about the annual right of shaving cream mischief, the Chief had this to say:
“The kids can have fun and play the same games we played, “manhunt” or “chase,” with shaving cream but we will be enforcing NO CARS, HOMES, BUSINESSES, or PRIVATE PROPERTY, should be sprayed. Spray each other all you want, but we will not tolerate any defacing or destruction.”
