Green invites Republicans, Democrats & Independents to attend
A press release from candidate Marshall Green,
Wellsville, New York – Local resident and challenger for village mayor, Marshall Green, invites Village of Wellsville residents to attend an open-forum town hall style meeting this coming Wednesday at the David A. Howe Library starting at 6:30pm. The public Q&A session will be held in the library’s Monday Room and Green will take questions from village residents in regard to his campaign, the current state of the village, and his future vision for Wellsville.
On October 10, Green and current village mayor, Randy Shayler, held a public debate in the library’s auditorium. While many people were in attendance and key issues were discussed, answers and topics were limited to time constraints. Green is hosting the town hall meeting to give local village residents an opportunity to ask him more direct questions with more in-depth responses.
“I want everyone the opportunity to directly ask me questions”, said Green. “I welcome everyone, no matter your political affiliations, to attend and engage”. Green continued, “My campaign is not about national polarizing issues but the issues that we deal with as a small community, as neighbors and family. Regardless of your political affiliations, we need to come together as good neighbors and grow Wellsville to its greatest potential while retaining our ‘small town’ charm.”
Green has put forth a 5-point plan that his campaign is based on…
1. Free and open speech at village board meetings.
2. A family-based community vision
3. Stopping eminent domain
4. Local government transparency
5. Local government accountability
