The Angelica Civil War Weekend began in 2004 as a program for the Allegheny Highlands Council Boy Scout Fall Camporee, and fourteen years ago became a full-fledged reenactment event.

Any of the attendees from past years can tell you we host a fun event, and that the Angelica Community is substantially period correct and VERY friendly to reenactors and guests alike!

After a few years they left the fairgrounds and held the event entirely at locations throughout the circa 1805 Village of Angelica, with camps along Main Street in the historic district.

Feedback from Renactors, Guests AND from the Village businesses and residents, indicated this was a success!

As we have done in the past, the entertainment will again encompass both street skirmishes and open field battles.

We have decided not to host a School Day this year, but hope to in the future when we get back on track with the Boy Scouts.

Many of the local community organizations and businesses are anxious to welcome the re-enactors and crowds back, and in recreating the 1860’s, Reenactors are always encouraged to stage scenarios throughout the period village. As always, we will try to have something new for everyone!

The Park Circle will be bustling with interactive encounters in the Sutlers Village, Field Hospital and General Store.Farmer’s Market and Food Vendors will be there as well, offering up their goods.

Located on the front lawn of 64 West Main St., Chantal Filson will be hosting an event at Noon on both Saturday and Sunday, called “Dressing the Lady: 1800s-Style”. A presentation on women’s clothing of the mid 19th century. The lecture includes an overview of both era fashion and workwear, featuring a live model and examples of antique clothing.
