Suzette Renee Carlin, 62, of Donovan Road, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, at the Hart Comfort House peacefully, with her family by her side. She was born March 11, 1962, in Miami, FL, the daughter of the late Donald and Patricia (Clark) Davis. On October 11, 1997, in Wellsville, she married Gregory C. Carlin, who survives.

“Tutu” as her grandchildren called her, was raised in Montgomery, PA before moving to Maryland where she graduated from North Harford High School of Pylesville, MD with the class of 1980. During her time in Maryland, she was the 4H Barrel Racing Champion for four consecutive years. In 1990 she moved to Wellsville in search of a more peaceful atmosphere to raise her three children. Here she was employed by Lester Chevrolet as a car saleswoman, and by Tops Grocery Market. During that time, she also attended Alfred State College, earning her associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, while raising her three children on her own before meeting Greg. In the early 2000s, she and Greg acquired their first farm on the Vandermark Road in Scio, NY, where she enjoyed raising her first set of horses, pigs and chickens.

In January of 2010, Suzette and Greg purchased their final home on Donovan Road in Wellsville, where she loved to take care of her horses and various other animals including peacocks. She was an avid home cook, making delicious meals, often with food grown on her farm. Suzette loved being outside mowing the land around their beautiful farm. She especially loved when her various grandchildren would come to visit while having cookouts up at their cabin “The Goathouse Saloon”

In addition to her husband of 26 years, she is survived by: three children, Neal (Michelle) Bortmes of Millers, MD, Melissa (Jared) Streeter of Irvine, CA, and Nicholas (Nicole) Davis of Andover; step-son, Anthony Voccola; eight grandchildren, Gideon Bortmes, Gunnar Streeter, Gannon Streeter, Everly Streeter, Gwendolyn Davis, Grey Davis, Lincoln Voccola, and McKinley Voccola; two sisters, Margaret Luckey and Liza Davis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
