Allegany County District Attorney announces Wellsville arsonist sentenced to 8 years in prison

Defendant’s Name:  Jessica L. Morrison

Address:  Wellsville, New York       

Charges:      Arson 2nd (B felony)
Reckless Endangerment 1st (D felony)
Criminal Mischief 2nd (D felony)             

Court Appearance Date:  June 27, 2024

Proceedings:    Jessica Morrison has been sentenced to 8 years in state prison, followed by 5 years of post-release supervision.  Morrison was found guilty of starting a fire at an apartment house on North Broad Street in the Village of Wellsville on May 2, 2023.  The damage caused by the fire resulted in the building being a total loss.
