Come to the market in Alfred this Sunday June 9 !
From the Alfred Farmers Market,
The Alfred Farmers Market returns on Sunday, June 9th, with a fun day for the whole family. Thanks to a generous partnership with the Alfred Box of Books Library, the market will have a circus arts program with Benjamin Berry starting at noon and Badger & Butterfly Studios will be painting faces all four hours that the market is open. AFM favorites, Bob and Gena Decker return to the bandstand with music for all ages.

Two local food trucks will set up on the green. She Brews Mobile Cafe serves coffee drinks, sweet treats, tasty wraps and salads, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches. The Old Mill Mobile will be offering all those comfort foods we love and promises to offer some menu choices that use products from the Market’s vendors.
For the youngest members of our community, our Market Sprouts aged 12 and younger, the Market is offering the “Sprouts Buck” program. For the first 100 children who stop at the Manager’s Tent, each will get a special $1 coupon that can be spent at any vendor with the “Sprouts Bucks Accepted Here” signs. We hope that this program makes the kids more involved in the market experience and helps build community between our local families and the great vendors who are the heart of the Market.
According to the AFM manager, Kim Hannigan, “The Alfred Farmers Market is clearly the best place to be this Sunday, from 11:00 until 3:00. Bring your chairs, bring your children, have some fun learning circus skills, enjoy the music, eat a great lunch, and then shop at our wide variety of vendors!”
The Alfred Farmers Market is open Sundays, from June 9 until October 13, from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM, at the park on the corner of Main Street and Saxon Drive.
