WELLSVILLE, NY (May 22, 2024) — On Saturday, May 18, the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Awards Dinner and Community Celebration. Jones Memorial Hospital was honored to accept the 2024 Business of the Year award for the transformation and modernization project as well as contributions to the local community.

The award came as a final capstone to Hospital Week, which is celebrated May 12-18. CEO, Jim Helms stated, “I can’t tell you how much it means for this community to select their healthcare provider as the business of the year.” He emphasized that, “We do not take the trust you place in us lightly. Our mission states that it is our goal to provide the highest quality healthcare in a caring manner to improve the quality of life for our communities. The beautiful part of our job is caring for our friends, neighbors and family. That’s rural health. It’s not always easy, but’s it’s always a labor of love.”

Mr. Helms went on to congratulate and thank the rest of the associates, medical staff, foundation, auxiliary, volunteers and board of directors as well as the community for making the award possible. The hospital continues in their mission to grow and expand access to advanced healthcare in a rural setting in their next 100 years.
