Wellsville based ministry provide students free camping retreats and after-school clubs

Gil’s Hills Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, faith-based ministry located on Brown Rd. in Wellsville, NY. Our property consists of over 120 acres of beautiful, wooded hills, a boating pond, gymnasium, small cafeteria, rustic cabins and teen loft hangout.
Gil’s Hills offers summer camps, after-school programs, and hunting, hiking and canoe trips completely free of charge to the students of Allegany County and beyond. Any students between the ages of 7 and 17 are welcome at our camp retreats and after-school clubs.
Children and their families are never charged for any of our camps or clubs. We rely completely on the generous donations from our community to provide our services, which is why we are launching our 2024 “Adopt-a-Camper” Campaign.
It costs roughly $75 to cover a camper’s expenses for the 3-night summer camps. This encompasses food, a t-shirt, craft supplies and field trips for the week. Last year, Gil’s hosted 93 youth for summer camp retreats. This summer will have 4 different camp sessions throughout the month of July and each one is expected to be full.
