All candidates are provided the opportunity to publish one full page “letter to the editor” from May 12 thru May 17, published in the order they are recieved. To maintain sanity within the editorial board and the readership, we will not be allowing any politcal advertisments or letters of support from the public.

To start this nearly month of school board politics, here are the incumbents. These candidates have served on the board and understand how difficult the job can be. Here are the statements that these incumbent candidates submitted with their petitions:

 Heather Gill (incumbent)

I have always had a drive to serve my community, both in my professional life and through volunteer work. Over the last six years I have served our community as a Board of Education member, a Youth Cheerleading Coach/Founder, and former President of the Wellsville Youth Cheerleading league. I am a NYS credentialled Family Peer Advocate, as the Mother of a child with Autism, I use my experiences and training to help other families access and navigate the support systems their family needs to succeed. I ran for Board 6 years ago to address my concerns about communication with parents and the community, these concerns still drive me to challenge the rest of the board and administration to consider the perspectives of all families in our district. I do not feel my work is done, and I would be honored to continue to service our community for three more years.

Ronald “Keith” Loines

I have been married for 7 years and have a daughter who is a Wellsville graduate. I currently work in Information Technology for the State of New York. I received my Bachelors Degree in Business Management from The University of Phoenix and my MBA from Alfred University. I am an active member of the Wellsville Lions Club. If elected, this would be my third term, and I have enjoyed seeing the mission of the board brought to fruition on a constant basis. I have had the pleasure of serving as the Vice President for the last few years and enjoy the additional responsibility and feeling of service to the community that I get when we recognize student achievement or unveil a new project that will strengthen the Wellsville Central School District and improve the education experience for the children in our community. GO BILLS!

Bryan Gamache

I currently reside in the Village of Wellsville with my spouse Elizabeth and our two children. Since moving to Wellsville, I have been an active member of the community through voluntary services and youth sports.

Education: Undergraduate Degree: State University at Albany, Public Policy Graduate Degree: Marist College, Master of Public Administration

Board Experience: I am seeking my 3rd term on the Wellsville Central School District Board of Education. Prior, I have been a part of several local, county and state level boards including the Wellsville Town Board, Allegany County SPCA, NYS United Way Board of Directors, and the Allegany Comprehensive Plan Implementation Group.

Why am I seeking Re-Election? I am seeking re-election to continue progressing the district while supporting the teachers, students, public, and administration. I am a critical thinking candidate that has shown the ability to represent all the district stakeholders. Thank you for your support!
