Allegany County District Attorney announces two sentenced to state prison

DA Ian M. Jones secures maximum sentences allowable by law

From the Allegany County District Attorney’s Office,

Defendant’s Name:  Jesse E. Tomlinson

Address:  Cuba, New York       

Charges:      Criminal Mischief 3rd (E Felony)             

Court Appearance Date:  April 17, 2024

Proceedings:  Jesse Tomlinson has been sentenced to state prison for the next 2 – 4 years for property damaged he caused in the Town of Cuba while attempting to evade law enforcement back on September 20, 2023.  The 2 – 4 years sentence is the maximum allowable by law.  Additionally, he was ordered to pay restitution to the owner of the damaged property in the amount of $20,487.22.

Prosecuting Attorney:  Ian M. Jones, District Attorney     

Defendant’s Name:  Jeremiah Edwards

Address:  Wellsville, New York       

Charge:  Grand Larceny 3rd (D Felony)

Court Appearance Date:  April 17, 2024

Proceedings:  Jeremiah Edwards has been sentenced to 3 ½ to 7 years in state prison for an incident that took place in the Village of Wellsville back in March of 2022 involving property theft.  3 ½ to 7 years is the maximum state prison sentence allowable by law.
