ACAF focuses on outdoor recreation and library funding

From ACAF,

The Allegany County Area Foundation recently awarded over $10,000 in grants, supporting the following organizations and activities.

Genesee River Wilds – For River Access Site signage in Caneadea, Houghton, and Fillmore (Allegany Fund and Kendall Environmental Fund)

Genesee Valley Rotary Camp – For the purchase of adaptive swings and accompanying frame unit for campers who are unable to use traditional playground equipment (Allegany Fund)

Gill’s Hills – For purchase of personal flotation devices for summer camps and canoeing/kayaking activities (Charles and Lorraine Joyce Family Fund and Joseph Bucher Fund)

Independence Historical Society – Funds for the purchase of a new laptop computer and software (Allegany Fund)

Belfast Public Library – For the Summer 2024 Reading Program (Allegany Fund)

Bolivar Free Library – For the Library’s growing Book Box program, and expansion of its new Library of Things (Joseph Bucher Fund)

David A. Howe Public Library – For summer 2024 Shake on the Lake performance (Charles and Lorraine Joyce Family Fund)

Genesee Library – For summer programs and facility security enhancements (Joseph Bucher Fund)

Rushford Free Library – Laptop computer and large screen TV for the library’s operational needs and community programing (Allegany Fund)

Scio Memorial Library – For a conference table and outdoor and table games (Allegany Fund)
