Hornell tops Corning, Alfred-Almond bests Hammondsport, Arkport comes from behind to win!

STEUBEN COUNTY- If asked, could you name the capital of Chile? Area students did just that in the first matches of the 2024 Academic All-Stars season on Monday night.
In the Large School Division Hornell took on Corning Black, defeating them 64-50. Bath Haverling topped Corning Gold 53 – 30.
The first match in the Medium-Large School Division saw Addison defeat Naples in a close match, 53 – 49. Canisteo-Greenwood cruised to a 50 – 10 victory over Campbell Savona.
The Medium-Small School Division saw Arkport come from behind to defeat J-T 53 – 31. Alfred- Almond and Hammondsport battled to a 61 – 46 finish with A-A coming out on top.

In the Small School Division Avoca defeated Prattsburgh 49 – 25, and Canaseraga bested Bradford 44 – 17.
Come on out and see the excitement for yourself next Monday! Matches will take place at Corning-Painted Post H.S., and at Addison, Arkport, and Avoca Central Schools starting at 6:15.
