The Alfred Farmers Market is holding its first ever mid-winter market on Sunday, February 11, from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM, in the Union University Church Center, 29 N. Main Street in Alfred, NY. Fourteen area farmers and artisans will set up for this event, selling everything from grassfed beef and pastured pork, to goat’s milk soaps and lotions, to soy candles and hand-crafted jewelry. Customers looking for that special gift for their valentine will have a wide selection to choose from, all locally produced by people from western New York.

This is the third postseason market organized by the Alfred Farmers Market. According to Kim Hannigan, manager of the market, “The Union University Church has welcomed the market as a community organization and allowed us to use their space. The vendors are really excited to be able to maintain contact with their loyal customers during the winter months. And our customers can access more locally produced goods all year round. It’s a win-win-win situation all around!”
