Over 120 student musicians to perform!
A few weeks into each new year you will find all of our county school music departments busy practicing and preparing with their students for the first of three Allegany County Schools Music Association (ACSMA) All-County Honors Festivals.
On the weekend of January 19-20, the ACSMA All-County Honors Festival 1 will be held at Cuba-Rushford Middle-High School. Over 120 students from across our ten county schools, as well as some string students from Canisteo-Greenwood CS, will be coming together to rehearse for many hours across two days, culminating in a concert open to the public.
First on the program will be the 2024 All-County Honors String Ensemble under the direction of Mrs. Tobi Snyder. Mrs. Snyder is the Music Department Chairperson in the Olean City School District where she teaches orchestra and band to grades four through seven.
Next on the program will be the 2024 All-County Honors Show Choir under the direction of Mrs. Kelly Suzano. Mrs. Suzano is in her sixth year at Wellsville Central Middle-High School where she is the 5-12 Vocal Music Director, as well as teaching some elementary general music classes.
Closing out the program will be the 2024 All-County Honors Intermediate Band under the direction of Ms. Tara Willgens. Ms. Willgens is currently in her second year at Belfast Central School where she is the 5-12 Instrumental Director as well as teaching some Preschool and kindergarten general music classes.
Soon the 2024 ACSMA All-County Honors Festival Online Apparel Store will be up and running and we will share that information with you in the near future.
The concert will be on Saturday, January 20 at 2:00pm in the Cuba-Rushford MS/HS Auditorium and is open to the public.
Tickets may be purchased at the door and are as follows:
Students/Seniors $3.00

We hope to see you here supporting and encouraging these hard working student-musicians as they share their talents and commitment to excellence!
