August 31, 2021, Amity-based troopers arrested a 40 year old man from Caneadea for assualt with the intent to cause serious injury. After being charge with a Class A misdemeanor, he was released for a future court date.

August 31, 2021, Machias-based troopers arrested a 19 year old man from Sanford, Maine on a host of charges. Responding to a accident involving property damage, police discovered what appears to be a drug trafficker. The Maineiac was charged with four misdemeanors and two felonies, including recklessly damaging property, drug possession, and drug distribution charges. The accused was held in jail pending court action.

Wellsville Village Police
August 31, 2021 Wellsville Police arrested an 18 year old Wellsville youth, charging him with two counts of Menacing 2nd and Criminal Possession of a weapon 4th. The charge stems from an incident that took place on the Genesee Parkway. The youth was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. The youth is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on October 19th at 4:30 pm.
Tuesday August 31, 2021 Wellsville Police arrested Daniel E. Fronczak, aka “Mr. Lewd,” age 45 of Bolivar, charging him with Public Lewdness. The charge stems from an incident that took place on North Main Street in the Village. Fronczak was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. Fronczak is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on September 21st at 4:30 pm.
*Mr. Lewd has struck again, why not publish his name, it’s not like he even cares. In this latest disgraceful arrest, Lewd was found to be defecating near the Fassett Greenspace and Giant Food Mart parking lot early in the morning. An eye-witness reports that he used a old facemask to wipe. I don’t disclose these disgusting details to you without expecting a reaction. While he is urinating and defecating all over the business district, the guy has many arrests stacked up awaiting court action. He is oblivious of himself, obliterated. The man doesn’t belong in jail or in some cheap subsidized apartment under some fantasy that he can become self-sufficient. I speak with him all the time, his physical condition is shocking, his mental abilities very limited, and he is always extremely intoxicated. At the least, Mr. Lewd should be placed in a nursing facility and treated for his multiple acute health issues. Will we let him wander our little town, using the business portals as a toilet and making babysitters out of the police force until he drops dead ?
