District Attorney: Belmont man headed to state prison

DWI and probation violation leads to 12-36 month sentence

Defendant’s Name:  Ray D. Adams

Address:  Belmont, New York       

Charges:  Violation of Probation

Court Appearance Date:  January 8, 2024

Proceedings:  Ray Adams has been sentenced to 1 – 3 years in state prison.  After originally being sentenced to probation for an aggravated DWI offense, Adams was found to be in violation of his probation.  District Attorney, Ian Jones, argued for the state prison sentence, citing Mr. Adams’ prior opportunity for a lesser sentence, which he then violated.
