Timothy J. McNulty, 73, Wellsville

Wellsville, NY – Timothy J. McNulty, 73, of South Main Street, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at the Hart Comfort House surrounded by his family. He was born November 2, 1950, in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Richard P. and Sarah (Cole) McNulty. On June 3, 2000, in Scio, NY he married Cynthia James, who survives.

He was a life-long resident of Wellsville, graduating from Wellsville High School in 1968. He later enlisted with the United States Navy serving honorably from 1969 to 1973 deploying to the Middle East aboard the USS Valcour. After his honorable discharge, he attended Iowa State University before starting a successful construction company, first in Ames, IA; before moving with his family in 1977 to Pierre, SD, working for the Weatherization Program for the State of South Dakota. In 1978 he returned to Wellsville and began his career at C.E. Air Preheater, beginning as a draftsman and eventually joining the sales force, rising to the level of Director, before retiring in 2016. Outside of his employment, Tim was a member of the Elks Lodge 1495; a very active member of the Wellsville Lions Club serving as past president and longtime Secretary, and for many years was an endman for the Minstrel Show. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 702. He was an active hobby constructionist on projects around his home, and for his family. He loved spending time in his Tiki-bar and pool in addition to working around the house.

In addition to his wife of 23 years, Cynthia, he is survived by: three sons, Andrew (Dana) McNulty of Midlothian, VA, Joseph McNulty of Pierre, SD, and Jeff (Jessica) Gordon of Wellsville; a daughter, Niki Gordon of Wellsville; 9 grandchildren; siblings, Richard McNulty and Jean Franklin; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Sister Nancy McNulty of the Sisters of Mercy, and brother Daniel McNulty.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 11 am, at the Wellsville Elks Lodge, 77 East Pearl Street, with Military Honors and the Morrison Hayes American Legion Post 702, followed by the Lion’s Club service, and subsequently, the Elks Service. A Celebration of Life will commence at 12 noon, after the conclusion of the services, also in the Elks Lodge. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
