A look at the eleven top proposals for NYS funding

From WellsvilleNYForward.com,

Projects for consideration for funding were accepted through an Open Call for Projects process, that was open from June 12, 2023 to July 15, 2023. In total, 37 eligible projects were submitted for LPC consideration. The LPC will be reviewing and evaluating these projects over the coming months to develop a final slate of between $6 and $8 million in funding requests to include in the Strategic Investment Plan.

As it stands, these are the projects being considered plus a “Small Project Fund” for building improvements.

Transform the Depot into a Modern Event Center/Museum

LOCATION: 10 Depot Street
PROJECT SUMMARY: Transform the former train depot into a new event space and railroad-themed museum.

Cultivate Enhancements at Fassett Green Space and Public Art Murals Project 

LOCATION: 55 N. Main Street
PROJECT SUMMARY: Develop ceramic mural and “living wall”, including a variety of fruits and vegetables at existing greenspace.

Develop New Branding and Signage for the Village of Wellsville

LOCATION: Village-wide
PROJECT SUMMARY: Develop branding and wayfinding, with kiosks; and a new village website

Expanding Space and Offerings at the Creative Arts Center

Enhancements to the pedestrian experience on State Street with safer and more appealing crossings featuring freshly painted and textured intersections, expanded sidewalks, and the addition of decorative fencing and flag mounts on the bridge.
