Wellsville, NY – When seconds matter most, CPR can be the difference in whether your friends and family survive. Ardent Solutions is hosting a CPR/AED/First Aid certification training on Tuesday, October 3rd, from 5:00pm – 7:30pm at the David A. Howe library in Wellsville, NY. The cost of the certification training is $30, and the certification is valid for 2 years.

CPR – or cardiopulmonary resuscitation – is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. “Since nearly 3 out of 4 cardiac arrests that do not happen in a hospital, occur in the home, if you care on to give CPR in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you know or love,” said American Heart Association volunteer President Michelle A. Albert, M.D.

Immediate CPR can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest. Keeping the blood flow active – even partially – extends the opportunity for a successful resuscitation once trained medical staff arrive on site. During the certification training we will cover the 2 types of CPR, how to use an AED, basic first aid, and review several emergency examples that could lead to someone needing CPR.

For further information or to pre-register, please contact Jose Soto with Ardent Solutions, at 585-610-9765 or by email at Sotoj@ardentnetwork.org.
