NYSDOT: Major culvert work on Rt 417 in Andover NY begins Monday May 6

Expect one-lane traffic near Warfield Gully Road until November

LANE CLOSURE ALONG STATE ROUTE 417 IN ALLEGANY COUNTY

May 3, 2024 (Andover, NY) – The New York State Department of Transportation is today advising motorists that State Route 417, near Warfield Gully Road, in the Town of Andover, Allegany County, will be reduced to single-lane traffic to accommodate a culvert replacement project beginning Monday, May 6. Traffic will be maintained through temporary signals at the construction site. Work is anticipated to be complete by mid-November.

All construction activities are weather dependent. Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
