The Dawgs win a battle of the undefeated in tourney finals
Clay Classic 16U Champions- Wellsville Diamond Dawgs Day one started with a win then the game was rained out. Day two then needed to be finished with pool play.
The Dawgs won 2 pool play games setting them up as the number 2 seed in the tournament.
Wellsville took on the semi finals game in full force. Taking the lead early and shutting down the opposing team hard, the Ladies locked in a spot to the finals.
Heading into the finals after a very long and hot day at Legacy Sports Park, the undefeated Dawgs were to face the undefeated MAD 16U. In true Dawgs fashion the ladies at bats were strong gaining a 3-0 lead in the first inning. It is Sunday after all.
Marissa Ordway in the circle and her defense behind her were in complete Lockdown. The Dawgs took control of the game ending 9-3 in the championship game. Don’t sleep on the DAWGS!!
