Bail jumpers busted and jailed, squatter arrested and evicted

All those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty

Wellsville Police arrested a male, age 41 of Olean, charging him with Petit Larceny. The charge stems from an incident that took place at the Dollar General on January 30th. He was located by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department and turned over to Wellsville Police. The man was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. The accused was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on 05/02/2023 at 4:30 pm.

Friday April 14, 2023

Wellsville Police arrested an 18 year old Andover youth, charging him with DWI, DWI w/BAC of .08% or more, Unnecessary Smoke and Unsafe Starting. The charges stem from a traffic stop on East Dyke Street in the Village. The youth was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released to a third party. The youth is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on April 18th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested Clifford W. Krug, age 59 no permanent address, charging him with Criminal Trespass 2nd. The charge stems from an incident that took place on Miller Street where Krug was occupying a vacant house. Krug was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. Krug is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on May 2nd at 4:30 pm.

Saturday April 15, 2023

Wellsville Police arrested Brandon W. Flint, age 29 of Wellsville, charging him on multiple cases. Flint was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th for being in possession of a stolen bicycle that was reported stolen from North Brooklyn Avenue on April 11th. Flint was also charged with a Bench Warrant for failure to appear in Wellsville Village Court on November 15th on a previous Resisting Arrest charge. Flint was also charged for Bail Jumping 3rd and another Bench Warrant violation for failing to appear in Wellsville Village Court on November 15th on previous Criminal Impersonation 2nd and Vehicle & traffic charges. Flint was also charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th for being in possession of a stolen backpack that was taken from a vehicle on Maple Avenue on February 25th. Flint was additionally charged with Criminal Impersonation 2nd following an incident on Loder Street on April 15th. Flint was processed on all charges and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Flint was committed to the Allegany County Jail without bail. Flint is due back in Wellsville Village Court on May 2nd at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested Paul J. Carpenter, age 49 of Wellsville, charging him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (switchblade knife). The charges stem from an incident that took place on North Main Street. Carpenter was additionally charged with Bail Jumping 3rd and a Bench Warrant violation for failing to appear in Wellsville Village Court on November 1st on a previous Harassment 2nd charge. Carpenter was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Carpenter was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $2,500.00 cash bail or $5,000.00 property bond or $10,000.00 partially secured bond. Carpenter is due back in Wellsville Village Court on May 16th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested Kyle D. Kruger, age 31 of Friendship, charging him with Burglary 2nd (Class C Felony), Petit Larceny, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment 2nd. The charges stem from an incident that took place on East State Street on March 20th. Kruger was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Kruger was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $1,000.00 cash bail or $2,000.00 property bond or $5,000.00 partially secured bond. Kruger is due back in Wellsville Village Court on May 2nd at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested a male, age 56 of Nunda, charging him with Issuing a Bad Check. The charge stems from an incident that took place at Giant Food Mart in January. He was located by the New York State Police in the Town of Burns and transported to Wellsville. He was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson and released. The accused is due back in Wellsville Village Court on May 2nd at 4:30 pm.
