State Police file charges after high-speed chase in Allegany County, $50,000 bail

Four misdemeanor and four felony charges from Friday morning chaos

A Wellsville woman is in Allegany County Jail after leading multiple police departments on a high-speed chase from Willing to Amity. Sharry Gross, 54, of Wellsville was arrested after fleeing a domestic incident in the town of Willing, south of Wellsville Friday morning.

The chase ended at the NYS Trooper Barracks in Amity NY after Gross pulled into the parking lot of the state police facility.

Gross was charged with the following:

  • Misdemeanor Obstruction of Governmental Administration, 2nd degree
  • Misdemeanor Fleeing a police officer in a motor vehible, 3rd degree
  • Misdemeanor Menacing with a Weapon, 2nd degree
  • Misdemeanor Criminal mischief, intent to damage property
  • Felony Criminal mischief, 2nd degree
  • Felony Burglary of a dwelling with explosives or deadly weapon
  • Felony Criminal mischief, 2nd degree
  • Felony Criminal possession of a weapon, previous conviction

Gross was held in Allegany County Jail under $50,000 cash bail
