A Bolivar NY man has been convicted of felony firearm theft

1st Assistant District Attorney Ian M. Jones prosecuting

Defendant’s Name:  Michael S. McDonald

Address:  Bolivar, New York       

Charges:      Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th – Firearm (E felony)
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th (A misdemeanor)              

Court Appearance Date:  March 6, 2023

Proceedings:  Defendant, Michael McDonald, has been convicted of felony possession of stolen property following an incident in Bolivar that involved possession of a stolen firearm.  The maximum possible prison sentence for this offense is 2 – 4 years in state prison.  Assistant District Attorney, Ian M. Jones, has insisted on the maximum penalty and McDonald is scheduled to be sentenced to the 2 – 4 year maximum on May 23, 2023.
