WPD makes felony arrest after long investigation, DWI crash on O’Connor Street
All those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in court

A male, age 24 from Wellsville was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Blood Alcohol Content greater than .08%, Failure to Keep Right and Operating a Motor Vehicle while Using a Mobile Phone, following a one car motor vehicle crash on O’Connor Street. He was processed, issued traffic tickets for Village Court returnable on 3/7/23 and released to third party.

Jason M. Goodsell, age 37 from Shinglehouse, PA, was arrested for Rape in the first degree, Sexual Abuse in the first degree and Forcible Touching. The charges stem from an investigation into a complaint from June of 2021. Goodsell was arraigned in Wellsville Village Court and remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
A female, age 36 from Wellsville, was arrested on a Bench Warrant for violating her pre-trial release. She was arraigned in Wellsville Village Court and remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail.
Bryent A. Scotchmer, age 28 from Scio, was arrested on an Arrest Warrant for Harassment in the second degree. The charges stem from an incident that took place in Nov of 2022 on Madison Street. Scotchmer was arraigned in Wellsville Village Court and released on his recognizance.
