NYS Police Report multiple felony arrests

Troopers also arrest a Friendship women for sexual abuse

All those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in court

On February 9, 2023, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) out of SP Amity arrested Destini A. Damerst, 19 of Friendship, NY for Sexual Misconduct and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (both A misdemeanors). On January 30, 2023, Troopers out of SP Amity received a Law Enforcement referral to investigate a possible sex crime. Investigation determined that Damerst had sexual relations with a 15-year-old victim.  Damerst was arrested and processed at SP Amity and issued appearance tickets for the town of Friendship Court.


On February 13th, troopers arrested Justin M Learn, age 25 of Scio NY. Learn was arrested for two felonies, Burglary and Grand Larceny. Learn was issued an appearance ticket for Scio town court.


Richard E. Williams, of Hinsdale NY, was arrested in the village of Belmont on felony Grand Larceny charges. The theft allegedly occured in the town of Bolivar, NY. Williams, age 46, was released with an appearance ticket.
