Karen L. Kane, 61, formerly of Cummings Place, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023 in her home in Hornell. She was born in North Tonawanda on July 31, 1961, the daughter of George H. and Marilyn (Butzbach) Bryan.

Karen was a 1978 graduate of Andover High School. She attended Alfred State College where she earned her Associates Degree in Nursing. She was employed by St. James Hospital Mercy in Hornell. Outside of work, she loved singing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by: seven children, Tara Price of Hornell, William (Rachel) Price of Andover, Kerry (Daniel) Bassage of Hornell, Donny (Brook) Kane of Wellsville, Kelly (Tyler) Brion of Athens, PA, Kacey Kane of Orchard Park, and Daniel Kane of Wellsville; five grandchildren, Molly Billings, Carsyn Kane, Carmyn Kane, Finnigan Brion, and Penny Bassage; her mother, Marilyn Bryan of Andover; three siblings, Kevin Bryan of Andover, William (Darla) Bryan of North Tonawanda, and Patrick (Lisa) Bryan of Hornell. She was predeceased by her father, and a sister, Barbara Day.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5 – 7 PM at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home of Wellsville, 34 West State Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville. Burial will be in Valley Brook Cemetery of Andover.
