1st Assistant District Attorney Ian M. Jones prosecutes major theft in Belmont, child pornography in Bolivar

Defendant’s Name: Cody A. Hogue

Address: Belmont, New York

Charges:      Burglary 3rd (D felony);

Grand Larceny 3rd (D felony);

Criminal Mischief 4th (A Misdemeanor)

Court Appearance Date: February 7, 2023

Proceedings: On November 17th, 2022, Cody A. Hogue broke into Hanson Farms in Belmont in the early morning hours and stole a safe within the store. Today, in Allegany County Court, Hogue was convicted of the top charge of burglary in the 3rd degree, a class D felony. He will be sentenced for the crime on March 28, 2023, where he will be facing time in state prison.

Charges:      Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (4 counts) (E felony); Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (4 counts) (D felony)

Court Appearance Date: February 8, 2023

Proceedings: John C. Palmer was indicted by a grand jury on 8 total felony counts. All 8 counts of the indictment relate to the sexual performance of a child. Palmer will be arraigned on the indictment in Allegany County Court at a future date.
