Officers make felony DWI, child endangerment, harassment, and probation arrests

All those accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

Sunday January 15, 2023

Wellsville Police arrested Ryan J. Sheridan, age 29 of Wellsville, charging him with DWI (Class D Felony), AUO 1st (Class E Felony), Refusal to take a breath test, Use a Rented/Loaned/Leased Vehicle w/o Interlock, Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle and Speed in Zone. The charges stem from a traffic stop on North Highland Avenue. Sheridan was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. Sheridan is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on January 24th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested a male, age 48 of Andover, charging him with Harassment 2nd. The charge stems from an incident that took place on North Main Street on November 5th. He was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson and released. The accused is due back in Wellsville Village Court on February 7th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested a female, age 39 of Wellsville, charging her with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The charge stems from an incident that took place on Pine Street on December 18th. She was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson and released. The accused is due back in Wellsville Village Court on February 7th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police, acting on a Bench Warrant issued by the Wellsville Village Court, arrested a female age 42 of Wellsville for failure to appear in Court on a previous Issuing a Bad Check charge. She was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson and released. The accused is due back in Wellsville Village Court on February 7th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police, acting on a Bench Warrant issued by the Wellsville Village Court, arrested a female age 34 of Wellsville, for failure to meet with Probation for a pre plea investigation on previous AUO 3rd and other vehicle and traffic charges. She was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson and released. The accused is due to meet with the Allegany County Probation Department by January 20th and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on March 21st at 4:30 pm.
