Club President Theresa Brown hands a check to Library Director Nick Gunning

The Monday Club closed its fall program season with its Christmas Silver Tea, at which they presented their annual donation to the David A. Howe Library.  President Theresa Brown presented their check for $2000, to Library Director Nic Gunning, at the festive gathering on Monday.

The traditional formal celebration is complete with beautiful decorations, a table laden with cookies, candies, sweets, and of course, the traditional silver tea service.  In addition, there was a surprise visit from Mrs. Claus bringing smiles and a special hint of the holiday season ahead.

Last week the members discussed their fall Book Review selection, Black Cake, by Charmaine Wilkerson.  Joyce Krupnik guided the members with questions and found different opinions and views of the book.  A highlight followed with the serving of actual Black Cake, delicious samples of the subject of the book’s title .

The Monday Club will resume meeting in April, 2023.
