Cattaraugus County: Man gets shot during a domestic dispute

On November 27, 2022, Machias-based Troopers arrested Darel D. Tingue, 55, of Franklinville, NY for Assault 2nd degree (D Felony) for recklessly causing serious injury with a weapon. At 7:48 p.m. that day Troopers responded to Bakerstand Road in the town of Franklinville for a domestic dispute involving a firearm. Investigation alleges that Tingue was in a verbal altercation that escalated to another party approaching him with a bat.  Tingue fired one shot from a pistol striking the 31-year-old victim.  Tingue was arrested and the victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center and is listed in stable condition. Tingue was arraigned and released under probation supervision.

Amity-based State Police arrested a 29-year-old man from Little Genesee. He was stopped in the Town of Bolivar and charged with driving while intoxicated and having a blood alcohol content above .08%. He was issued an appearance ticket for court.

State Police in Steuben County report the arrest of William S. Margeson, 42, of Bath. He was charged with aggravated contempt (a Class D felony), aggravated family offense (a Class E felony) and criminal possession of a controlled substance. The arrest stems from a report of a violation of an order or protection in the Town of Bath. Margeson was detained.

After investigating a weapons complaint in the Town of Campbell, State Police arrested Tahmid Rafiyo, 21, of Buffalo. He was charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm, a class C felony. He was detained.
