The 2023 town budget and fire protection contract with the village of Wellsville open to public comment

The Town of Wellsville will hold two public hearings and a monthly town board meeting this Wednesday November 9. From Town Clerk Danielle Osgood:

LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING UPON PRELIMINARY BUDGET

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the preliminary budget of the Town of Wellsville for the fiscal year beginning January 01,2023 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk, Wellsville Municipal Airport, 2600 Tarantine Blvd, Wellsville, New York where it is available for inspection by an interested person during regular business hours.

FURTHER NOTICE is hereby given, that the Town Board of the Town of Wellsville will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a public hearing thereon, at the Wellsville Municipal Airport at 6:45 PM on the 9th day of November 2022 and at such hearing any person may be heard in favor or against any item or items therein contained.  Pursuant to Article 8, Section 109 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the following elected Town Officers are hereby specified as follows:

Supervisor – $8,572.69

Councilperson – $14,389.51 (4 @ $3,597.37)

Town Clerk – $47,437.74

Highway Superintendent – $68,000

Tax Collector – $5,150.00

Town Justice – $10,585.31

LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FIRE CONTRACT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Wellsville Town Board, Allegany County, New York at the Wellsville Municipal Airport -Town Office, in said Town of Wellsville, November 09, 2022 at 6:30 PM for the purpose of considering the contract with the Village of Wellsville and the Wellsville Volunteer Fire Department for fire protection to be furnished to the Town of Wellsville Fire Protection District, effective January 01, 2023 for one year, for the sum of $148,000 (One Hundred Forty Eight Thousand Dollars).  All persons interested in this matter will be heard at such time and place.
