Street crimes, DWI, and a weapon on school grounds

All those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in court

Wednesday October 12, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested Daniel E. Fronczak, age 46 of Bolivar, charging him with Petit Larceny. The charge stems from an incident that took place at Walgreens on North Main Street. Fronczak was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. Fronczak is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on October 25th at 4:30 pm.

*we continue to print Fronczak’s name because he continues to be arrested on a weekly, sometimes daily basis.

Thursday October 13, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested Trenton D. Jefferds, age 19 from Wellsville, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree. The charges stem from an incident at the Wellsville Secondary School, in which a school administrator observed a rifle in the front seat of a vehicle parked in a school parking lot. The administrator contacted the School Resource Officer and Jefferds was taken into custody. Jefferds was arraigned in Village Court in front of Associate Village Justice Walsh and remanded to the Allegany County Jail pending conditions brought forth by the Court.

Friday October 14, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested a male, age 73 of Wellsville, charging him with DWI, DWI w/BAC of .08% or more, Aggravated DWI w/BAC of .18% or more and Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device. The charges stem from a traffic stop on North Main Street. He was processed, issued and appearance ticket and released to a third party. The accused is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on November 1st at 4:30 pm.

Saturday October 15, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested a female, age 48 of Wellsville, charging her with Harassment 2nd. The charge stems from an incident that took place on East Dyke Street in August. She was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. The accused is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on October 18th at 4:30 pm.
