Galen was an Architect in Rochester and Cincinnati and later worked at the Alfred University Library.  He was an Air Force Officer stationed in Japan in the 50’s and purchased brought many interesting things back.  He had a discerning eye for Art and Furniture.

Japan: Mr Brooks purchased many items while stationed in Japan during his time there in the Air Force in the 1950’s:  Large Ceramic Garden Lantern, Tea Ceremony sets in original wood box, Tea bowls in original wood boxes, Clay masks, Kitchen cupboard tasumi, wooden bird cage, wall hangings, prints and other art.

Japan continued:

Paintings ( including Mt Fuji), ceremonial wood walking staff with flags and charms, lacquerware, 2 Kimonos, tea pots, saki bottle,  Rare Takumi midcentury Rush lounge chairs

Collectibles:  Zippo lighters, 35 mm cameras ( Kodak and Cannon ), Twin lens relex camera, movie camera and projector, zenith radios, some stereo electronics, Beatle record from England, Phoniola crank record player, Toys:  WW1 tin soldiers, Lionel trains, Mickey Mouse Lionel Hand Car, Lincoln Logs, Metal Ferrari Model, 1930s steel wind up train , tracks,
