Defendant’s Name:  Gabriel A. Babbitt

Address:  Wellsville, New York       

Charges:      Burglary 1st (B violent felony);
Assault 2nd (D felony);
Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (A misdemeanor)             

Court Appearance Date:  September 15, 2022

Proceedings:  Gabriel Babbitt was arraigned on an indictment out of the Village of Wellsville for an incident alleged to have taken place back in August.  Babbitt is facing a top charge of burglary 1st, when she is alleged to have unlawfully entered a home and injured someone inside.  Babbitt is being held at the Allegany County Jail on $15,000 cash bail.

Defendant’s Name:  Austin Hunt

Address:  Belmont, New York       

Charges:      Top charge of Robbery 1st (B felony)

Court Appearance Date:  September 15, 2022

Proceedings:  Austin Hunt was picked up on a warrant for an alleged violation of his pre-trial release conditions.  As a result of his alleged non-compliance, the People argued for bail to be set in the amount of $50,000 cash.  The court agreed with the People and set bail at $50,000 cash.

Defendant’s Name:  Robert L. Mack

Address:  Wellsville, New York       

Charges:      Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd – 2 counts (B felony);
Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd (B felony);
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th (D felony);
Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 5th – 2 counts (D felony)            

Court Appearance Date:  September 16, 2022

Proceedings:  Robert L. Mack was arraigned on an indictment for 6 felony drug charges.  Mack is accused of possessing and selling methamphetamine in the Village of Wellsville on multiple dates.  New York State law does not allow bail to be set for these charges, so the defendant was released on pre-trial supervision.  Mack is due back in court for pre-trial motions on October 25, 2022.
