Ping-pong ball sized ice balls rain down from massive thunderstorm

By Andrew Harris

In the last thirty minutes a strong storms have started pounding the Wellsville area. On at least this hilltop, a torrent of large hail rained down for over fifteen minutes. Trees were heavily damaged and the forest floor has been covered in white ice balls.

The rare storm moved in from the northeast and brought high winds, earth shaking thunder. After the storm subsided, temperatures dropped in the forties and I’m about to break out the snow shovel and winter boots!
