Alfred J. “Fred” Roliczek, 74, Wellsville

Alfred J. “Fred” Roliczek, 74, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022  at Jones Memorial Hospital following a lingering illnessHe was born February 28, 1948 in Lenz, Austria, the son of Roman and Eugenia Hassler Roliczek. On September 3, 1995 he married Roxie J. LaForge who survives.

Fred was raised in Buffalo and graduated from Burgard Vocational School. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army from 1968 to 1971, and the U. S. Army Reserves from 1986 to 2004. He was a medic in the Army and served in three wars, Vietnam 1968-1971, Desert Storm 1990-1991 and Desert Shield 2003-2004. He was formerly employed by Republic Steel, CB Concrete, and for many years was a Diesel Mechanic for the Buffalo Board of Education. He was a member of the Alma Rod & Gun Club, the Morrison Hayes American Legion Post 702, and the Frank B. Church VFW Post 2530. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving in addition to his wife Roxie, is a son, Alfred J. (Maegan) Roliczek II, three step-children, Carie (Andrew) Walters, Andrew (Jane) Seamans, and Martin (Michelle) Seamans, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two sisters, Noreen Roliczek, and Anne (Herman) Pemberton, a brother, Edward (Denise) Roliczek, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a reception with military honors on Thursday, August 18th at 1:00pm at the American Legion Post 702, 23 Jefferson Street in Wellsville.
