Defendant’s Name:  Colleen M. Greil

Address:  Belmont, New York       

Charges:      Welfare Fraud

Court Appearance Date:  July 15, 2022

Proceedings:  Colleen Greil was convicted of Welfare Fraud in the 5th degree in Belmont Village Court.  As a result of this conviction a judgment was entered against the defendant in the amount of $4,812.40, and she will be disqualified from receiving benefits for a period of time specified by law.       .

Charges:      Burglary 3rd (D Felony);
Criminal Mischief 2nd (D Felony);
Petit Larceny (class A misdemeanor)

Court Appearance Date:  August 10, 2022

Proceedings:  Christopher French-Lawson was indicted by a grand jury and stands accused of a burglary in the Village of Bolivar.  He is alleged to have broken into a laundromat, damaging property within, and stealing various items back on March 8, 2022.

Charges:  Violation of Probation

Proceedings:  Stephen Osgood was before the Allegany County Court for an alleged probation violation.  The People argued that Mr. Osgood should be incarcerated for the violation.  A hearing has been scheduled for September 6th

Proceedings:  Terra Pierce was convicted of Welfare Fraud in the 5th degree in Belmont Village Court.  As a result of this conviction a judgment was entered against the defendant in the amount of $4,751.00, and she will be disqualified from receiving benefits for a period of time specified by law.       .

Address:  Wellsville, New York       

Charges:  Arson 2nd (class B felony); Criminal Mischief 4th (class A misdemeanor)

Court Appearance Date:  August 10, 2022

Proceedings:  Brandon Short was indicted by a grand jury for crimes alleged to have taken place at the Best Inn, Wellsville.  Mr. Short is accused of starting a fire at the Best Inn, as well as breaking the windows of the room he was staying in.
