More trouble from Bolivar, multiple larcenies, felony drug arrest in Wellsville

All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court

Two Bolivar residents are facing more than a dozen charges following an incident August 2nd in the Town of Wellsville. State Police say they arrested 40-year-old Michelle L. Lockwood and 40-year-old Clifton M. Hall. Each was charged with 14 counts of abandonment of animals. They’ll answer the charges in court at a later date.

After investigating a complaint in the Town of Belfast, State Police arrested Charlee Cobin of Angelica. The 26-year-old was charged with four felony counts of first-degree falsifying business records and a lesser count of petit Larceny. Cobin was released on a court appearance ticket.

State Police arrested 67-year-old Harold N. Stuchell of Cohocton. He was charged with two felony counts of grand larceny involving property valued at more than $1,000. Troopers said both crimes occurred in the Town of Dansville.

Monday August 1, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested John F. Conklin, age 54 of Wellsville, charging him with Trespass. The charge stems from an incident that took place at the 7 Eleven on South Main Street. Conklin was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. Conklin is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on September 20th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police, acting on a Bench Warrant issued by the Wellsville Village Court, arrested a male, age 46 of Wellsville, for failure to appear in Court on a previous AUO 3rd charge. He was located by the New York State Police and taken into custody. The man was processed and arraigned before Associate Wellsville Village Justice Walsh. The accused was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on August 16th at 4:30 pm.

Tuesday August 2, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested Dustin J. Childs, age 40 of Wellsville, charging him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Class B Felony), Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd and Visibility Distorted/Broken Glass. The charges stem from a traffic stop on North Main Street. Childs also had an Arrest Warrant for Criminal Possession of Methamphetamine 4th (Class C Felony), from an incident that took place on Cummings Place in June of 2022. Childs was processed and arraigned before Associate Wellsville Village Justice Walsh. Childs was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on August 9th at 4:30 pm.

Wednesday August 3, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested Denise L. Cross, age 54 of Wellsville, charging her with Grand Larceny 4th (Class E Felony) and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th (Class E Felony). The charges stem from an incident that took place on Park Avenue in the Village. Cross was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. Cross is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on August 16th at 4:30 pm.
