Scratch-made dog biscuits for sale and a “round-up” campaign underway

By Andrew Harris

The new owners of Giant Food Mart in Wellsville and Cuba aren’t just carrying on the tradition of support for the SPCA Serving Allegany County, they are kicking it up a notch! After handing over a check from an April 2022 fundraiser for $3000, Giant just started up another month-long campaign for the animals.

Dog owners who shop at Giant: Be on the lookout for this display in the store with the dog biscuits made from scratch by the Giant bakery department. The ingredients really aren’t much different than your typical biscuit and are perfectly fit for man or beast. As one young lady told me in the store recently, “They are actually really good!! I’ve had more than one!!” The SPCA will receive $1 from every package of biscuits sold.

The other way you can help the vital services of the SPCA Serving Allegany County is by rounding up at the register. Its easy, just tell the cashier you want to round up and you can also add more to the donation. Just a few nickels or a few bucks per customer really adds up fast! This is a great way to shop local and help the animals waiting to be adopted.

While you are shopping Giant don’t miss the new produce section or the current summer sale prices
