From the AFD concerning Tuesdays fire at the department

To clear things up.

Tonight units responded to our own fire station for reports of a possible structure fire. For precaution Allentown 50 requested a first alarm assignment with addition of 2 engine and ladder truck from Wellsville.

Members on scene were able to get all trucks out of the station prior to any damage. After investigation the cause was found to be electrical in nature, exact damage will remain unknown until an electrician can evaluate everything tomorrow.

We would like to send a huge thank you to Bolivar Fire and Ems, Wellsville Fire and Ems, Alma Fire, Wellsville Ems and Fire, and Scio Fire for all their help tonight. Although the manpower and equipment was not needed it was great to see our extended family come to our aid.

We are already beginning to see comments on social media speculating several things. We ask anybody with questions please contact us directly and we will assist best we can
